On Friday, 17 January 2025, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Kaunas, on M. Riomerio street near No. 11, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Citroen Xsara Picasso and a BMW 5ER Reihe. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 80-year-old driver of the Citroen (35 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
