On Sunday, 2 February 2025, at night at 0:35, in Kupiškio district municipality, on the Kupiškis–Vabalninkas–Biržai national road (kilometre 0.80), a BMW ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober.
