On Friday, 14 February 2025, in the afternoon at 16:50, in Marijampolės municipality, on Geležinkelio street near No. 122, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Skoda Octavia and a car. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Skoda (11 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. She fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered.
