Unlicensed Mercedes-Benz driver hits a parked Volkswagen on Mokslininkų g., Vilnius
On Monday, 24 February 2025, in the afternoon at 12:10, in Vilnius, on Mokslininkų street near No. 9A, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz E 220 CDI and a Volkswagen Polo. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 64-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
