On Friday, 28 March 2025, in the evening at around 20:00, in Mažeikių district municipality, on Pavenčių street near No. 3, a bicycle hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 13-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He fled the scene.
