On Saturday, 5 April 2025, in the afternoon at 13:38, in Šilutės district municipality, on the Šilutė–Ramučiai–Gardamas regional road (kilometre 7.74), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a Volvo XC90. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 75-year-old driver of the Jeep (30 years of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
