On Thursday, 10 April 2025, in the evening at around 17:00, in Marijampolės municipality, on Gamyklų street near No. 9, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat registered in Norway and an Audi A6 Avant. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.99‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence.
