On Thursday, 17 April 2025, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Klaipėdos district municipality, Bruzdeilyno village, on the Klaipėda–Liepoja (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road (kilometre 17.50), a collision occurred. The collision involved an Alpen Kreuzer registered in Latvia, an Opel Astra-G-Caravan and a Volkswagen Polo. Two people were injured — the 39-year-old driver of the Opel (treated as an outpatient) and a 2-year-old passenger of the Opel (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the Alpen Kreuzer (30 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
