On Sunday, 20 April 2025, in the morning at 8:44, in Raseinių district municipality, Paliepiukų village, on the Ariogala–Paliepiai–Ilgižiai regional road (kilometre 9.18), an Opel Astra-G-Caravan ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 48-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.16‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
