On Tuesday, 22 April 2025, in the afternoon at 12:15, in Šiauliai, on Tilžės street, at the junction with Ežero street, a BMW 525 registered in Great Britain hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the BMW (10 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
