On Tuesday, 22 April 2025, in the evening at 21:50, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 92), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a DAF registered in Uzbekistan, an Iveco, a Schmitz Cargobull and a Koegel SN 24 P registered in Uzbekistan. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the DAF (26 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
