On Wednesday, 23 April 2025, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Pasvalio district municipality, on the Linkuva–Joniškėlis–Pumpėnai regional road (kilometre 9.30), a Volkswagen Passat hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 64-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (38 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. The driver was sober.
