On Monday, 28 April 2025, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Šiaulių district municipality, Kairių town, on Ąžuolų street near No. 5D, a MTZ 52L hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 77-year-old driver of the MTZ (27 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
