On Thursday, 22 May 2025, in the morning at around 8:00, in Kaunas, on Raudondvario pl., at the junction with Jovarų street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a KIA Motors Sportage and a Volkswagen Passat Variant. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the KIA Motors (19 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. She fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
