On Friday, 23 May 2025, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Kaunas, on Kuršių street near No. 28, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Toyota, an Opel Astra and a BMW. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Toyota (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry.
