On Thursday, 22 May 2025, in the morning at 10:10, in Vilnius, on Ateities street near No. 91, at the junction with Fabijoniškių street, a Skoda Fabia hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person died — a 74-year-old pedestrian (later died from the injuries). The accident was caused by the 73-year-old driver of the Skoda (30 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
