On Tuesday, 27 May 2025, in the evening at 19:54, in Kauno district municipality, Paraželių village, on Nemuno street, at the junction with Šalnų street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a BMW 323 and a Toyota Corolla Verso. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
