On Saturday, 7 June 2025, in the evening at 19:25, in Šilalės district municipality, Košių I village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 208), a Toyota RAV4 rolled over. Three people were injured — the 38-year-old driver of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient), a 39-year-old passenger of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient) and a 37-year-old passenger of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 38-year-old driver of the Toyota (17 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
