On Sunday, 15 June 2025, in the evening at around 19:00, in Šilalės district municipality, on Vytauto Didžiojo street, at the junction with Zobielijos street, a collision while turning right occurred. The collision involved a Volvo V70 and a bicycle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Volvo, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
