On Saturday, 21 June 2025, in the evening at 17:30, in Panevėžio district municipality, Nausodės village, on Šiaulių street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved an Opel Astra Sports Tourer, a Triumph and a car. Two people died — the 38-year-old driver of the Triumph (later died from the injuries) and a 37-year-old passenger of the Triumph (later died from the injuries). The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Opel (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
