On Thursday, 26 June 2025, in the evening at 18:59, in Kaunas, on Islandijos pl. near No. 9, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW registered in Germany and a Volkswagen Polo. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the BMW (22 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
