On Friday, 4 July 2025, in the evening at around 17:00, in Alytaus district municipality, Žuvintų village, on Pirmųjų Žuvintų street, at the junction with Antrųjų Žuvintų street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Fendt Farmer 308 C and a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 63-year-old driver of the Fendt (38 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
