On Sunday, 6 July 2025, in the afternoon at 15:28, in Raseinių district municipality, Palendrių village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 175.77), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Toyota Corolla and a Subaru Forester registered in Poland. Two people were injured — the 90-year-old driver of the Toyota (hospitalized) and a 16-year-old passenger of the Subaru (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 90-year-old driver of the Toyota (50 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
