On Wednesday, 16 July 2025, in the evening at 17:13, in Kėdainių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 139), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW, a Schmitz Cargobull and a Mercedes-Benz. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the BMW (27 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
