On Thursday, 17 July 2025, in the morning at 7:59, in Utenos district municipality, Pakalnių village, on Taikos street near No. 6, at the junction with Pakalniai- Velbiškės - Kvykliai, an Audi 80 Avant ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 68-year-old driver of the Audi (49 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk and fled the scene.
