On Friday, 18 July 2025, in the evening at 20:39, in Kelmės district municipality, on the Kelmė–Tytuvėnai national road (kilometre 7), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel Astra and an Audi A4. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.43‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
