On Saturday, 19 July 2025, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Pasvalio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Pasvalys–Ryga main road (kilometre 44.10), a car ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 55-year-old driver of a car (30 years of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
