On Tuesday, 22 July 2025, in the morning at around 8:00, in Kauno district municipality, Šatijų village, on Barsūniškio street, at the junction with Dvaro street, a Seat Altea ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the Seat, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
