On Wednesday, 23 July 2025, in the evening at 19:29, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Vilnius–Panevėžys (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 111.80), a DAF FAR XF 105 registered in Latvia ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 67-year-old driver of the DAF (38 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
