On Saturday, 26 July 2025, in the evening at 20:30, in Anykščių district municipality, on the Molėtai–Anykščiai national road (kilometre 40.10), an Audi A4 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the Audi (25 years of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He was drunk (2.16‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
