On Monday, 28 July 2025, in the afternoon at 15:46, in Šilalės district municipality, Pakoplyčio village, on Šlaito street near No. 11, a JCB hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the JCB, who committed other traffic rule violations. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober.
