On Thursday, 31 July 2025, at night at 2:10, in Utenos district municipality, on Užpalių street, at the junction with Vaižganto street, a Seat Ibiza ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Seat, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.04‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
