On Friday, 1 August 2025, at night at 23:30, in Tauragės district municipality, Paltiniškės village, a Ford Galaxy registered in Great Britain ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Ford (15 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (2.07‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
