On Tuesday, 5 August 2025, in the afternoon at 14:20, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Klaipėda–Triušiai–Kretinga regional road (kilometre 7.40), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel Movano registered in Sweden and a Hyundai. Two people were injured — a 15-year-old passenger of the Hyundai (treated as an outpatient) and the 44-year-old driver of the Hyundai (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 38-year-old driver of the Opel (19 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober.
