On Wednesday, 6 August 2025, in the afternoon at 15:55, in Vilniaus district municipality, Bratoniškių village, on Skirgiškių street, at the junction with Pavasario 1-oji street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved an Opel Meriva registered in Latvia and a Nissan Qashqai. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
