On Monday, 4 August 2025, in the evening at 19:30, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 108.50), in a roadworks zone, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Ford Transit and a BMW X3. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the Ford (28 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober.
