On Friday, 15 August 2025, in the morning at 10:55, in Raseinių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 150.48), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Sharan, a Hyundai, a Mercedes-Benz S 320 CDI and a Toyota. Three people were injured — a 35-year-old passenger of the Volkswagen (treated as an outpatient), a 48-year-old passenger of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient) and a 33-year-old passenger of the Mercedes-Benz (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (16 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
