On Friday, 15 August 2025, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Šilutės district municipality, on the Šeriai–Kantariškiai–Šilininkai regional road (kilometre 1.50), a Mitsubishi Space Star rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.88‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 80 km/h.
