On Friday, 5 September 2025, in the morning at around 8:00, in Marijampolės municipality, on R. Juknevičiaus street near No. 88A, a Jeep Cherokee hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 28-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 57-year-old driver of the Jeep (30 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
