On Saturday, 13 September 2025, in the afternoon at 11:47, in Raseinių district municipality, on the Ryga–Šiauliai–Tauragė–Kaliningradas main road (kilometre 119.42), a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a car and a BMW 328 registered in Latvia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 67-year-old driver of a car (30 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He was drunk (1.35‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
