On Sunday, 14 September 2025, in the evening at 17:35, in Marijampolės municipality, on Gėlyno street near No. 25, a Volvo FH registered in Latvia rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 57-year-old driver of the Volvo (15 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.63‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
