On Monday, 15 September 2025, in the morning at 6:42, in Marijampolės municipality, Skardupių village, on Turgalaukio street, a BMW 3er Reihe rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.66‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. A 29-year-old passenger of the BMW was drunk (1.88‰). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
