Unlicensed Better moped driver in crash with MAN truck on the Tauragė–Pašventys road
On Monday, 15 September 2025, in the afternoon at 12:30, in Tauragės district municipality, Stragutės village, on the Tauragė–Pašventys national road (kilometre 4.37), a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Better and a MAN. One person died — the 66-year-old driver of the Better. The accident was caused by the 66-year-old driver of the Better, who failed to give way when changing direction. She had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
