On Thursday, 18 September 2025, in the evening at 17:58, in Kauno city municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 97.40), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Toyota Verso and a Ford Galaxy. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the Toyota (10 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
