On Sunday, 21 September 2025, in the afternoon at 12:10, in Lazdijų district municipality, Bajoriškių village, on Turistų street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 520D, a Ford Kuga registered in Germany and an Opel Astra-G-CC registered in Poland. Four people were injured — the 61-year-old driver of the Ford (treated as an outpatient), a 44-year-old passenger of the Opel (treated as an outpatient), a 54-year-old passenger of the Ford (treated as an outpatient) and the 43-year-old driver of the Opel (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the BMW (17 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober.
