On Thursday, 25 September 2025, in the morning at 7:45, in Kaunas, on Studentų street, at the junction with A. Baranausko street, a Renault registered in Latvia hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 61-year-old driver of the Renault (20 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
