On Friday, 17 October 2025, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Šilutės district municipality, Kintų town, on Kuršių street, a Renault Megane Scenic ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 64-year-old driver of the Renault, who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (1.59‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
