Hit-and-run BMW driver in crash with Temsa bus on the Kaunas–Jurbarkas–Šilutė–Klaipėda road
On Monday, 20 October 2025, in the morning at 7:06, in Kauno district municipality, Jaučakių village, on Plento street, at the junction with Jurbarko pl., a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a BMW X1 Xdrive 20D and a Temsa MD 9LE. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the BMW (1 year of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
