On Thursday, 16 October 2025, in the evening at around 19:00, in Šiaulių district municipality, on the Ryga–Šiauliai–Tauragė–Kaliningradas main road (kilometre 61), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The accident was caused by the 67-year-old driver of the Opel (25 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober.
