On Thursday, 23 October 2025, in the afternoon at 11:02, in Klaipėdos district municipality, Slengių village, on the Klaipėda–Liepoja main road (kilometre 10), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo V50 and a Mercedes-Benz -. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Volvo, who failed to give way when changing direction. He was drunk (1.87‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene.
